FACILITY: Development, Maintenance, and Operations

Taitech, Inc. provides quick response engineering, design, drafting, modification, fabrication, testing, operation and support services for the Air Force Research Laboratory's Propulsion Directorate at Wright-Patterson AFB. These services are highly specialized in nature and are required to insure timely completion of in-house Air Force research projects. Taitech. designs, modifies, and fabricates test equipment and instrumentation to support a wide variety of technical tasks. Taitech also installs, performs checkout, and verifies functional operation of test apparatus modified or fabricated. To accomplish this facility work, Taitech was required to demonstrate extensive experience in:

  • Physics
  • Engineering (Aeronautical, Aerodynamic, Structural, Electrical, Electronics, Chemical, Civil)
  • Computer Programming
  • Computer Aided Design and Engineering
  • System Safety, and
  • Technical Writing

 

 

Taitech facility efforts include operations and maintenance of this "Whirl Rig" Facility in Building 20A at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. This facility has three test rigs capable of supplying up to 10,000 horsepower. Currently, blade impact testing for the GE90 engine is being supported at the facility.
